Dental Veneers

What are Dental Veneers?

Dental veneers are thin, custom-made shells of tooth-colored materials designed to cover the front surface of teeth to improve appearance. These shells are bonded to the front of the teeth, changing their color, shape, size, or length. Veneers can be made from porcelain or resin composite materials, but porcelain veneers resist stains better than resin veneers and mimic the light-reflecting properties of natural teeth. Veneers are often used for cosmetic reasons, providing a natural-looking smile for patients with chipped, discolored, or misshapen teeth.

    Types of Dental Veneers:

  • Porcelain Veneers - Strong and durable, providing a natural tooth appearance and resisting stains better than resin veneers.
  • Composite Resin Veneers - Made from a tooth-colored resin and are less expensive than porcelain veneers, but may not last as long.
  • No-prep Veneers - Require minimal preparation of the teeth and are applied without extensive enamel removal.

If you're looking to enhance your smile, dental veneers can offer a natural, long-lasting solution. They are a great option for correcting imperfections and boosting confidence with a bright, even smile.

How it works?

1- Consultation and Planning

Your dentist will evaluate your teeth and discuss your treatment plan. This may include discussing your desired results and any dental conditions that need to be addressed before applying veneers.

2- Tooth Preparation

A small amount of enamel is removed from the tooth surface to make room for the veneer. Your dentist will take impressions of your teeth to create custom veneers.

3- Custom Veneer Creation

The impressions are sent to a dental lab where your veneers will be custom-made to fit your teeth and match your smile. This may take a couple of weeks.

4- Veneer Bonding

Once the veneers are ready, they are placed on your teeth to check for fit and color. Your dentist will then bond them to your teeth using a special adhesive, ensuring they are securely in place.
